My club has had issues with both Yahoo groups and Google groups so the powers that be are looking for an alternative group email. Facebook is out because not everyone chooses to be on it, and WhatsApp doesn’t reach the luddites.

Any other options (free or cheap!) – do majordomo servers still exist?

What went wrong with Google Groups, we use that and not had a problem yet (other than people starting up conversations using the email so everyone is involved). Interested to know so I can monitor for issues.

Broadcast or discussion? Mailchimp is free for smaller volumes of the former.

Google groups still working fine for some smaller discussion lists that have been around for years.

Discussion list – the problem with Google was that some people just never got the emails, not in spam, just never delivered. Happened over different email domains, but was consistent for each person (eg Mrs P and I are on the same domain, she got them but I never did)
