you can get a thing that looks like (and is) a big vibrator which you poke in the ground and leaave – apparently they can’t stand it and sod off – worked for me (ooh er) after some pretty persistent activity over a couple of years

I remember setting mole traps at college and out of 20 of us only on trapped a mole. But I did get on once on a ransome triple cut it’s head clean off as it was coming up to surface.
