If he’s only got a cheap bike like that what’s he worried about?

Her finding out how much it actually cost?

How many times do they ask the question??

Erm.. that is the topic of that particular sub-forum.

We have “Chat”, they have an entire forum asking other women to confirm that they are being perfectly reasonable and that their partners are pigs if they are being reasonable or not.

Wow that’s hard to read. Almost as bad as some of the marketing/corporate BS that seems to be flying around these days.

If their favourite acronym is YANBU – I wonder if there are many times where the answer is YABU, yes?

I suspect I already know the answer to that. Listening to that mad cow who runs Mumsnet, when she frequently pops up in the media, she seems like a cross between a tin-pot middle eastern dictator, and the leader of a religious cult! Bonkers! In a thoroughly unpleasant way

We need Hora to gatecrash Mumsnet again. That was inspired! 😆

Those woman seem a bit angry, is she really just moaning about 1 bike?
Must take this time to say a massive thanks to my wifey as she says I have too many bikes, but is still willing to buy me a new BFe for my birthday.

My better half put this up in the dining room, as its where my bikes invariably end up

We have just bought a bike shed, Asgard is the maker and made of metal, is the only shed guaranteed not breakable in to and will cover DH for insurance for his 1k baby bike.

Binners, I was just having my mid morning omelette reading this. I had a pavlovian response and was compelled to yell to my wife:
    “Where are my effen anchovies?”

Her husband should tell her to keep her shoes in the shed too. I mean walking around all day in them on our filthy streets, dirty toilets etc, they are just as unhygienic

I clearly need to spend more time on Mumsnet. Its pure comedy gold

He’s a nobber. I think if my husband told his friends that he didn’t like the smell of my fanny I’d shove prawns up his nose and staple it shut.

    You go! Girlfriend!!! 😆

DP = Dear partner, when the couple are living in sin.

Mumsnet is wonderful. There’s a great mixture of sensible advice & comedy, plus some very serious stuff on the Relationships area which makes me realise how lucky I’ve been (And how lucky Mrs M is!)

    DP? Darling… what?

    Darling Partner

(gender neutral, together but not necessarily married)

Or were you thinking of some other definition of DP? 😆

    … or consider washing?

What a weird thread. It’s one of the most amazing smells in the world, unless you’ve got personal hygiene issues. If someone told me I had bad breath, I wouldn’t accuse them of being sexist, I’d go and brush my bloody teeth. That said, saying it across a dining table with a group of friends isn’t perhaps the most tactful way of broaching the subject.

    Ho hum.

I can’t wait to report to the real world that STW and Mumsnet are now directly linked..

Singletrack is OK. It can become misogynistic at times but is generally much less macho than most forums I’ve read. There are a number of women contributors who are respected and I’ve never seen any real abuse on the site.

We are in the clear so long as we pretend to listen to the ladies in here 😉

TBH, WGAF. IMHO the OP should WTFU, her OH’s HT XC MTB probably needs new QR skewers and its BB refacing, perhaps a new FR hub. Perhaps if he was to n+1 a SS 29er it’d need less maintenance.

If anyone happens to be wondering, the female equivalent of misogynistic is “misandristic”.
