Fair play to him – I think he’s quite childish and petulant a lot of the time, but he’s certainly faced up to all the criticism he’s had very well, and made big runs when it really matters.

Apparently it’s a slow wicket so the score is about par.

It’s not looking all that par right now – we need some wickets. Mind you at least the attitude as an England supporter has changed a bit – we always used to expect them to mess it up whenever they were looking good, but nowadays there’s at least an equal chance of them miraculously pulling it off when all looked lost.
