went to afan this time last year and it poured down but did skyline and w2 and quite enjoyed it, off again this year and hoping for better weather.

Intend to do skyline, w2, blade and anything else going but am there for 4 days and that’s only a days riding really, so wondering how accessible are any other trails around the area? is it worth exploring? or should I move on somewhere else?

    Like rocks? Rob does 🙂

I’d actually go here rather then Afan (horses for courses)

    Afan masts.

Gulley run, medic, connect4 amoungst others are great fun.

Easy to find on strava, look at the bottom of the wall, where zig zags finish, move the map towards the sea or left and youll see the fire road climb winding its way up.

Yes to what rob and phil said. Plus there is loads in Margam which is accessible from the top of the Penhydd main climb.

I hired a guide a couple of months back who showed us some good routes outside of Afan valley

I was staying at Afan Lodge – if you need to get the guide, speak to Rich at the Lodge who i’m sure could organise it for you
