  • Off-road or 'Gravel' riding in Majorca?

Going back to Port de Pollenca in May. Tempted to take my CX bike and try to find some unpaved/gravel routes instead of sticking to tarmac. Anyone tried it? Any good routes?

    Thanks.

Take the cross bike (I do!) but the scope for gravel is severely limited in my experience around Pollenca and heading into the mountains. A lot of the tracks I have explored are pretty lumpy bumpy for a cross bike and I would be going for a mountain bike instead. However, if anyone has any better pointers, I too would love to hear them! 😀

Having had some off-road fun there last summer I’d take the biggest bike you have and all your armour – gnarly, steep, rocky, awesomeness! Even the old goat tracks are very rough and technical in places. I was on a 140mm full-sus hire bike and was missing the bigger forks and better shock on my bike back home.

I want to move to Majorca, great mtb, road, and even a nice indoor track. Fabulous weather, good food…. if there is some nice gravel as well….
