you are about 100g heavier at night than at midday“.

Curious Orange… I’m going to have to dig out the calculator for this tomorrow but I can’t see how it could be true.

I reckon it’s true – I always feel a bit heavier at night.

    I’m surprised it’s only 100g though.

    To curious orange:

Sir, I owe you a grovelling apology. I’ve just done the maths and assuming that for a person weighing 100kg, they appear to weigh 125g less at midnight than at midday. It’s a bit quick and dirty but I simply calculated the force due to gravity from the sun and doubled it.

Eee, I’m right pleased I worked that out. 🙂

Cats can get decked by birds.
Nearly got taken off my bike last night by 3 young blackbirds chasing down a cat. They were making a really odd, menacing chirping noise too. Still, that’ll teach the cat to try and eat the birds.

Giving half a lemon to a horse is piss funny.
Giving half a lemon to the elephant at lisbon zoo certainly is not.

    Maybe – DISTINCT POSSIBILITY

Anyway, according to Plutarch, by the time he was 20 Mark Anthony (of Friends, Romans, Countrymen fame) had partied his way into 250 tallents of debt – about £5million in today’s terms. Impressive.

Saccades – It’s paracetamol that is deadly to cats as they lack the glucuronyl transferase enzyme required to break it down….
Aspirin is just pretty bad for them as they cannot break it down as well so they accumulate it and then die eventually.

    (don’t ask)
