Seen a deal on a carbon EX, with Carbon armour. Do I need to be more concerned over buying Alu?

    Care to expand:

Whats the warrantly if a rock breaks it?

Is it the same / lesser / greater strength?

Nope they are nails. I’ve smacked mine about and its held up better than aluminium.

Stronger than alu, you won’t get a rock flying up and breaking it. That’s talk of the scare mongerers.

Mate of mine had an old, really old, carbon STP which broke after about 10 years of hard riding.
Treks response was “Sorry sir, we don’t make those any more. So you can’t have another. Would you like a new 9.8 hardtail instead?”
How far up your arm do have to bite for that?
Top marks for warrenty, even on the older stuff.
