I’m a bit crap in the eyesight department and need a +4.75 sphere on one eye which does limit my choices.
Can anyone recommend a specialist supplier that might do the job.

Got mine from RX-Sport. Uploaded my prescription and had them in about 5 days. Top notch service.

Cillary blue are supposed to be good, I’m sending a frame to be glazed when they arrive

This lot sorted me out with transitions Rx Split-Jackets, my prescription is outside the official Oakley limits but they work brilliantly, highly recommended. Spendy, but worth it if you like being able to see, I reckon.

There must be other outfits who will do the same thing to the same level, but there is one thing to bear in mind: you really should go in and get fitted up by them properly, apparently the lenses only work if they’re centred on your pupil just right (there was no extra cost for this apart from travelling when I got mine done).

I just got my optician to write down the PD on my prescription, isn’t that the measurement they use?

No, not with the lenses I got, they wouldn’t use a simple PD number. I got measured up specifically with the frames the lenses were going in. Apparently they don’t have a single focal point so they have to be extra careful to get it right. Took about five minutes rather than the usual ten seconds. They do feel different on too, very sharp no matter where you’re looking.
