Right – It is sunny and i have put the singlespeed in the shed for sunday’s ride.

Out comes full suss. Comm Meta. Its been a while. Suspension feels really soggy. Can’t rememeber the base pressure settings (i.e start point for tinkering)for an 85Kg idiot with a Float 32 and an RP2.

Will tinker etc later – but any ideas on the pressures?

    Cheers

Just pump it up until you get ~25% sag & then merrily adjust from that point

the fox manuals suggest approx 95psi for the fork, the pressure in the RP2 depends on the bikes geometry- I have an RP23 on an Orange 5 at the same weight as you and it needs 210psi, but the same shock on a Trek EX needs ‘only’ 160psi

For future reference I was passed a trick by an old motorcross racer which I’ve found really useful: Fix a square of yellow duct / gaffer tape on the shock body or fork with your base pressures & settings in permanent marker. Handy if you’ve got a few different suspension systems in use 🙂
