As it’s vile out, I’m doing some shed pottering in the hope the wind and rain might die down, and want to do a brake bleed. It’s been ages since I did one, and can’t remember. Is there any reason that I shouldn’t use the same technique on my Hates HFX-9s as on my Hope mono M4s?
I have a tube going from the calliper bleed nipple to a receptacle for the old fluid, open the cylinder cover, then open nipple, squeeze handle, close nipple, release handle, top up fluid, repeat… I find this much easier than squirting fluid in at the calliper end.
Thanks for any help & advice.
