    Yes. The type of vehicle is irrelevant. Some folk transfer it to an old scooter or similar if they want to “keep” the number before.

    I’ve just got new plates for my van as it ran out of space on teh registration document for CT stickers. Pity it can’t be transfered in France, I’m sure a Ducati owner would be prepared to pay for ** 748 RS with two appropriate letter to start I’ve censored.

    Yes, but not back to a car – unless they have changed the law. Years ago folk saved up numbers by storing them on mopeds but the media had a field day with Sir Gerald Nabarro who had a barn full with NAB numbers on and a law preventing transfer from a bike to a car was brought in.
