Thinking about building one at the start of next year….ready for a full season in the alps (something I want to do before I settle down)… however I’ve noticed among the many good reviews….bikeradars 3 star rating….citing a front heavy feeling on the comp model (coil boxxers).

They say its something to to with the top tube length in combination with the short chainstay position whacking out the centre of gravity. If this isnt bollocks could I rectify this by running a wc boxxer, 1.5 ply tubeless schwalbe front, dual ply tubed rear plus stans, even disk sizes and maybe a carbon bar?

I’ve ridden a scalp and that was great, so cant understand why the ridiculously similar pulse got a lower mark in the same mag.

BikeRadar have a fairly long history of writing absolute (edited the original word I posted) rubbish.

Check out the pinkbike review from a few weeks back, seems pretty decent to me and they’re more DH based
