Anyone seen/looked at the new adventure bike thing from NS?
Not available yet, but looks Ok VFM to my uneducated eyes.

Same price as the Kona sutra Ltd but with a carbon fork.
Do any of the more wise adventurists among us have an opinion on this?
Seriously looking at one as a commuter with very occasional light trail duties (verderers etc), any feedback appreciated!

A search yields no success on here, apologies if this has been done.

Know nothing about it, but it does look quite nice.

    but mudguards.
    and no internal routing.

Prefer not to have internal routing tbh.

    May I ask why not?

I tend to avoid internal routing, too.

Rattles and awkward maintenance are prime concerns, but I also like to be able to visually check cables/hoses. It’s been suggested by some frame builders that if you can hear the cables rattling about you know there’s wear happening inside the frame, too – and that makes sense to me and is another thing I’d prefer to see…

Exactly what he said ^^ plus the weather in this country means the fewer places for water to enter the frame the better. I’m not that bothered about mudguards either. I know I’m going to get filthy when I go out riding, so just kinda live with it. Embarrassed to say this, but I also think they ruin the look of a bike too.
It would be a different kettle of fish if I’m commuting though.

I don’t mind it, but not having it isn’t in any way a deal breaker. Hadn’t noticed it had no mudguard mounts.

I’m glad I asked and now I know. I was looking more from a commuter point of view as opposed to adventure. If you reduced the tyre size to suit commuting you’d have room for mudguards.
I still think it looks quite nice.
