This might seem a little unusual but I need someone to witness a power of attorney for me. It’s for the purchase of an overseas property (it’s in French with an English translation too) so apparently it needs to be done by a notary as opposed to a regular solicitor?!

Having contacted a few Notary’s the quotes range from £100 upwards which seems pretty extortionate for 5 minutes work. Further there’s 2 of us that need to sign it so after work would be ideal as don’t work all that near each other but they all seem to work 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Does anyone know anything about this and also know anyone who could do this in the London area?
