    I need a watch to time my running sessions. Don’t really need it to do anything else, probably don’t even need it to tell the time (but it would be handy).

    Don’t want the classic casio thingy and don’t want a HRM or GPS, just want a nice big clear display and one or two buttons (start/stop/lap).

    Does such a thing exist?

    Searching for “stopwatch” on Amazon returns 158 results.

    The watch ones all look like watches (and mostly contain HRMs), and the ones that sound like what you’re looking for come on necklace lanyards. Which, presumably, is where you got to and hence the question.

    I’m not helping much, am I?

    Mrs organic has got a NIKE watch that does that, not sure of the model.

    You can set 2 different intervals too for training, i.e. run 10 mins -beep beep – walk 2 – bee beep etc.

    check out nike watches

    @cougar – That is where I got to. Anything clear and easy to read tends to come with a HRM and cost ~£30-50, or GPS and cost £100+

    @organic355 – That sounds good, I’ll have a look.

    more to the point, it is bloody massive, and does loads of stuff that I don’t want. what is all that junk on the screen? I just want a clear displayed time or timer that I can read while I am breathing out of my arse 20 metres from home on a ‘run’.

    Just bought one of these for my wife. Seems like it’s exactly what you’re after.

    Decathlon do some really cheap simple watches with stopwatch. I think I paid £6 for mine, was great til I lost it.

    +1. My £12.99 one (ooh posh!) keeps time to within just a few seconds a month, and does the job perfectly.

    Timex FTW – they’ve arguably had this market cornered for years.

    Yup, Timex again. I like the Ironman with the fabric strap – much more comfortable than plastic. Wear it in the shower afterwards to combat the stink!
