    All
I am looking for a bit of advice.

I have been asked to plan and organise an off road (as much as poss) route from Conwy to Swansea for some lads at work.

I have sorted out most of the route using maps and internet sites etc. but I am looking for anyone who has ridden one area. Betws y Coed to Llan Ffestiniog.

I have 2 options, both leave Betws south through the forest onto the A470 then either:

West to Pentre-Bont. Then south through the forested bowl of Cwm Penamnen along a roman road, UP the bridleway at the end, over the fence to the disused quarries then take the south track to Llan Ffestiniog!

Or East, all road to Cwm Penmachno, through to Carrog then East to Cwm Penmachno. Pick a path UP to the disused quarries and take the track again to Llan!

Has anyone any first hand experience of any of these routes??

    Cheers
    Azza

It may duplicate your route but why not try getting the route guide to Sarn Helen, a few friends have done it and found it contains enough off road for most.
