Right, my Genesis Croix de Fer is rusting away after three hard winters of commuting and most parts on it need replacing, it makes more sense now to get a new commuter! I don’t want to spend more than I have to and given the rust on my steel frame I think Aluminium is the way to go this time. Looking at what is available both the Norco Threshhold A1 and Planet X London Road are under 1k. Both have decent specs, the Norco being mainly Shimano 105 the Planet X SRAM Rival. I have no experience of either brand so can anyone offer any opinions on the two bikes?
