Taking the family to France this summer and was wondering if anyone could recommend good mountain bike routes in Normandy. Family friendly ones would be good as missus doesn’t really do much biking but also anything a bit more testing for my son and I.

Suisse Normande is worth a visit:

The local tourist info offices sell this which has loads of waymarked routes of varying difficulty:

Depending on your GPS (if you have one) I found that where I was staying (near Falaise) that a number of the surrounding villages had waymarked routes that started/finished in the village square. These were marked as blue dashes on the freebie OSM Garmin maps from here:

Another stw-er was kind enough to send me some route details for Suisse Normandy, if you dop me an email I can forward. The maps aren’t easily available online only at tourist offices.

You can also find some ideas on uttawagavtt.com and search the area map, ditto vttfrance.com (which has some Suisse Normandie maps like the one above). Search on here for prior threads.

Enjoy I’ve been to the area quite a bit done the cider/calvados tour and well as suisse normandie (in car not by bike) also D-Day beaches and Deauville/Trouville and pretty port of Honfleur. All good.
