Off to that region for a couple of weeks-I've noted that there are some pretty big forests around-anyone live, ride or know much about the area?

    cheers

Worth taking a bike, I'd say. There are some forests in the region, but the ones I've been to have been flat(ish) and I've never found much quality singletrack…..there must be some though! Whatever though, it's a pleasure to be out on a bike and even the roads are nice to ride as it's so quiet. Where abouts are you staying? Enjoy your trip!

I spent a couple of weeks there last summer and did a fair amount of riding. There are some really good FFC routes marked out around Suisse Normande which is a hilly/rocky area, roughly around Thiery Harcourt . You can pick up a pack of around 40 route guides from the tourist office in town then take your pick of the rides. Some really good techy stuff and some really good fast descents.
    Highly reccommended

Cheers, bikes are going for certain, even if just as transport between bars….. 😀
Somewhere south of Dieppe, I really ought to sort a route out I guess, and find out where exactly we are staying!

I've noticed signs for various VTT (MTB) routes marked out in the Lyons-de-Foret area on my travels through from Dieppe to Paris, although I've always been on a road bike so cannot comment on the gnarliness of them. Might be a little too south of Dieppe for you though.
