There's a difference? I just buy road tubes. I have two CX bikes and they're both fine.

Ah, ok thanks. Just wondered if the tube at the valve might not like stretching that much. I bought some conti cx specific tubes but they weigh a ton. I'll find out if they are ok at Hog Hill tomorrow.

I use 25mm in both 23mm road and 30mm CX tyres for years, can't ever say I've noticed a difference or had any problems.

Awaits puncture on the first 'cross race of the season in the morning.
