Lee Fancourt has just smashed the trans-europe record.
Northern most part of Norway to Tarifa in Gibralta.
Ive Been following his attempt from the start…

I cannot quite fathom what motivates someone to do this. He’s dealt with massive fatigue (averaged 195 miles / day), unimaginable saddle sores, a cracked rib, a sheared pedal on his carbon crank arm, only 2-4 hours sleep every 24hr, Near hypothermia, cramps, bruises, bites and blistered everywhere.
    Well done Lee.

I have just been following the TransAmerica race (Not RAAM – bunch of wimps as they have support crews) – not sure how they do it tbh – you should watch inspired to ride to get a feeling for what it entails

Amazing effort. Baffles me that people manage to keep it together mentally for day after day physical suffering that is of your own doing.
