  • Non-tubeless tyres with Flow rims?

So my lovely new Hope Hoops should be here soon, just wondering what tyres people are using to run tubeless on them. I take it you can run UST tyres with no rim strip and just the yellow tape and sealant, but will you get away with this with non-UST tyres like a standard High Roller or something?

Would prefer not to have to faff around with rimstrips if I can.

I've used various tyres odf most brands fine – in fact some inflated better than Panaracer USTs!

A rim strip or something to bulk up the well will help inflation.

Two layers of yellow tape and standard tyres no problem on the 29er flows

I had a couple of terrible experiences with folding single ply minions. twice the front tyre exploded off the rim after moderately heavy landings. the kevlar bead isn't tight enough to keep the tyre securely on the rim.
