I can’t even see the point in covering it. Phone and car key in a placcy bag and off you go. What does it matter if the camelbak gets wet or dirty?

I picked up a daysack cover from a hiking shop for my evoc

Olive green elasticated waterproof cover, came with a stuff sack – about a tenner

rain covers make sense to me, if I’m carrying a dry layer I want it to stay dry. also they keep the mud off so once you’re in the pub you can delve in the bag without getting muddier.

And it’s easier t clean and dry the cover than the bag?

respro make a black one with reflective bits and tron style glowing blue light strips – i have one!

covers are easy to clean, take off and hose down, dry in minutes compared to rucksack/camelback. i still put all my dry clothes and phone etc in a dry bag though as you can never be too sure when it comes to rain…

I have a black North Face one. Ended up gluing a big reflective strip on it though.

My Camelbak has it’s own built-in rain cover – it’s not fluorescent.

Is a rain cover not included as standard on Camelbaks?
Even my cheapy pack from Clas Ohlson came with a rain cover (also Fluro)…

I have a camo one which maybe explains why you did see it on the two occasions we rode together this week!
