Browsing for an adaptor to run 10 speed cassettes on 9 speed shifters, I thought I’d share this because it’s just clever Need to shift from aerobars and normal shifters? Shimano have Di2 with multi shift buttons. Don’t have Di2? Jtek have produced this:

It allows a bar end shifter to expand the cable outer and hence shift a cable that is already connected to another shifter. Will work best with Shimano external cables (6600 for example), but how clever is that?

I can’t quite work it out, surely the other shifter will always be in the wrong gear. So you’ll need to make redundant shifts before it shifts gears? (After changing position)

Just what I was trying to work out.

Yes, you don’t have access to all gears, only the N-n left to shift into by either shifter. So it’s not perfect, but it is a cheap solution of sorts.
