One of the reasons I love MTB is the combination of exercise with that feeling of flow, where you’re completely focused on the moment and everything else just slips away. I find it a great way to unwind after a stressful week/day at work and it’s probably the main reason I’m not an unbearably grumpy git 😀
However, I’ve had this irritating chesty cough that everyone’s seemed to have this year that’s been going on for 3 weeks now, and can probably expect another week or two of it according to others who’ve had it. This has coincided with a particularly stressful period at work (which probably hasn’t helped the cough) and meant that I’m without my main source of stress relief.
What do people do other than biking to blow off steam? I do a bit of yoga which helps, but it doesn’t get close to the feeling of flow on a bike.
