    Anything good for around £100?

I’ve had a pair of Sennheiser SP25 for 19 years. I’ve put them through all kinds of hell as I used to DJ a lot. They’re modular so if one part fails you can replace just that bit. I think mine have had some new ‘muffs’ in all that time. About £150 if I remember right.

EDIT: Just remembered they have a stupidly short cable, though that may’ve changed in 19 years. Or buy an extension.

The sennheisers aren’t noise cancelling. Just bloody loud and drown everything out 🙂

I was also looking for a pair of active noise cancellers and after purchasing and using 8 pairs for a a few weeks, settled on the ultimate ears UE 6000.
They sound great, really very good but not quite as effective as the Bose for killing background noise.
They retail for 200 ish but can be found on eBay for around 100.

I travel longhaul at least once a month and these work.

Bose are better but the price is more than double.

Got the Goldrings and they are great on a flight. Background hiss is more pronounced than Bose but you could buy decent passive phones with the change. Recommended for travel.
