Cambridge Folk Fest was great. Again, as usual. All those who dismiss it as finger-in-the-ear diddly-di are missing out.
Just in case anyone does fancy some recommendations for music away from the norm, I can enthusiastically suggest Mama Rosin (high energy Cajun 3-piece with a punky edge from Switzerland), Salsa Celtica (big outfit playing Cuban salsa with addition of celtic sounds), Imelda May (one hot woman - you blimin' well know when she walks in the room) and many others.
On a slightly down note I strongly suggest you never spend any time or money on Harper Simon (son of Paul Simon).
