my laptop took a bit of a bump the other day and has been playing up. Today when i started it up i got the massage "..(insert lots of zeros)… failed to initialize. click OK to cancel the application"

Usually it starts up ok but stumbled when closing windows. Now though, all i can see on the desktop is the background, no files or anything. I can do ctrl+alt+delete to restart and then f2 to get onto the bios screen but that's about it.

    Any ideas?
