I really think Chase Trails have done a superb job with the re-working of Lower Cliff on Cannock Chase after the tree felling. Is there a better man-made trail out there? Upper Cliff? Last section at Penmachno?

I agree, it is bloody ace. The best??? I can’t comment on that.

Not sure if it’s the best but it is superb, they have done a cracking job!

Is it all really opened now then? Was rubbish last time we went.

Anything hand cut in the Tweedy Valley. Proper World class trails.

I was impressed with it last weekend, flows nicely with some fun elements in there as well. There was a couple of forestry blokes about watching his people were getting on with it as well.

I’ve heard tell of a legendary man made trail somewhere in Swindon.

The new work there is very good, should get even better as it beds in!

I’d put a vote up for Terry’s Belly and the Wibbly Wobbly/Rim Dinger combo at BPW, accessible to most in terms of skill required and both a proper giggle.

Wrightyson – it’s all 100% open at the moment, quick get down there before the close something else. I hear upper cliff is next for the chop.

This would be high up my list too.

Not ridden the reworked lower cliff yet, but Penmachno is a good call too.

Also quite fond of the Lower Red/Orange combo at Laggan and the Nevis Red.

Loved the older lower cliff rode the new one on the 2nd day it was opened and wasn’t very impressed. But to be honest I think it is because I’m spoilt by the natural trails and fresh cut that I normally ride in the Amber Valley.

It’s good, as is most of the chase but there’s plenty that’s better.

Talnotry Hill at Kirroughtree and Able at CyB are two of my favourites.

Talnotry is probably my favourite too actually, I wasn’t enjoying the slog round the black until there, then it was nearly ten minutes of the best descending I’d ever done. They have got a bit of an elevation advantage over Cannock there though, I think the trail builders at Cannock are some of the best at making use of limited elevation to make a great descent.

They’ll be the same sweet amber Valley trails I ride too. We are blessed! However a twice yearly jaunt to cannock is usually fun, even to watch the 5k carbon mincers if nowt else
