    Afternoon All

Since sleeping overnight in a tent in the garden a week ago my 3 year old has been asking pretty much non-stop to ‘go proper camping.’

Like the idea of combining a family camping weekend with some sneaky riding so was looking at the FOD.

Any recommendations in the area? Ideally with decent facilities (we’ll have a ten month old baby with us so can only ‘rough it’ so far) and close enough to ride to the trails.

We’re going to Whitemead near Parkend in a couple of weeks. It’s about 2 miles from the trail centre, and has an indoor pool. Looks promising…

We’re camping at Deanwood Campsite over August bank holiday, here:

It’s in a lovely spot, has a great reputation and even has a kids play barn. Its not far from the trail centre, however its also right in the thick of loads of great off-piste stuff. You can literally ride out of the campsite and almost straight onto 4 or 5 downhill tracks.

Whitemead as mentioned above is also great for the trail centre and off-piste trails, but gets a lot busier. Two good options though.
