Anybody else had this proble, wondered if it was common and has anybody replaced one themselves, is it difficult?

My step daughter trashed the hinges on her DS

I got a new case including screen from evil bay for about 15 quid

It was an absolute b4stard of a job, but as someone who fixes stuff rather than throw it away its quite satisfying

Just make sure you are left alone for no less than 6h and have access to a ready supply of new swear words!

The touch screen is actually plugged in via a really precarious ribbon connector, which is pretty easy to dislodge if you drop it I imagine

You still need to take it all apart to get to it though

2nd the Nintendo service centre…both screens wouldn't work on our DS and it was fixed for just under £30 including P&P both ways (They send you a freepost envelope). Very good service.
