Hello,

I have a Niner Air 9 Carbon and I need to take out the standard GXP BB adapter cup things to install an eccentric BB. Now, the tool is the best part of £90 – which is a bit steep for a once only job. Does anybody have one I could borrow for a few days? I would happily cover postage each way and attach a few beer tokens for your help?

Jon, can you just not tap out the adaptors with a socket set extension bar? Take out the BB & go through the hole of one adaptor up against the back of the inside of the other & carefully tap.
I’m guessing its similar to tapping out headset cups?

I’ve bought a used frame & have the cups to install shortly – I was just going to use a home made headset press – large threaded bar, nuts & wood blocks – would you think it would work?
