At the weeked, once I'd cleaned all the mud and stuff off my bike after the Whinlatter Enduro I noticed a small nic in the side wall of my Nobby Nic tyre.

It's about 10mm long at the most, I've stuck a big puncture repair patch on the inside, I think I remember seeing something about stitching the cut to hold it firm/stop it from blowing/spreading.

Whats best to use for this?

Dental floss. Pull the cut closed in a figure of eight stitch. Then patch the inside. Never quite as strong as a new tyre but have faith. I have been running just such a bodge on a fire XCpro for two seasons because I am a scrooge and I cant throw anything away. Running it tubeless too.

I too am a jippo and don't wanna fork out for a new Nobby Nic after two rides 😆
