budget is between 7k-9k and petrol or diesel but newer than an 06 plate.

what is there to look at!!

Or fast – say, +2.0 rep-mobile estate

Maybe have a look at an older 5 series, big petrol’s are reasonable and not so bad on fuel (I’ve a 535i which will happily do 25mpg).

The saab is a bargain, but I can’t get past the Dame Edna glasses. Only sporty in a straight line too. Some of the Japanese options are quite good. Masda 6?

at the moment we drive a vectra sri diesel 150bhp which is reasonably fast but id still like somthing a bit quicker.

we went on a caravan holiday about 4 weeks ago and atruggled to get everything we needed for us an 2 young lads in the car.

now we are looking at getting a dog hence the need for the space increase.

If you are struggling for space with a Vectra, I wouldn’t be looking at anything other than a proper estate car, not a 159.

Whilst there are certainly faster cars, my VRS always raises a smile in a naughty sporty way.
