    Drop down to working just 2 days a week (already happening, starts in February). This will allow me to:

    Cycle. A lot. Mountain bike, road bite, multi day camping trips etc
    Learn to brew properly
    Get the band back on the road
    Do a lot of renovations around the house
    Do some adult education courses
    Learn to drive my MX5 properly – be able to handle it when it slides. So will probably need to get some track tuition.

    Gonna adopt a 4:3 lifestyle (4 days on the holy bus each week followed by 3 of self indulgence)
    Start running
    Get a more practical and efficient daily routine

    Less beer, more running. Some riding too, but mainly running. Hopefully this will help with the third resolution: lose a couple of kgs.

    (Now I’ve FINALLY been fixed) to get fit again, to ride all my bikes (both mtb and motor) a lot more and to do it in more adventurous places.

    I need to explore more.

    Ride more, I did a grand total of 161 miles this year’s. So aiming to hit the 500 mile Mark next year.
    Get out with my DSLR more also and vastly improve.
    Stay injury free unlike this year and last.

    OK here are my targets:

    Stay in the 14stone-something bracket.
    Ride in the Lakes. Did ONE ride in the lakes in 2014.

    See friends more and be a better person.

    1) ‘Learn’ to do front crawl properly (breathing problems have so prevented this).

    2) Ride at least once a week

    3) Get down to 90kg

    Tricky one…

    I think I will try to get back to half marathon standard this year and stay there, injury free, for the whole year. That’s a bold resolution though.

    I might also try to make a go of my marriage too, but that depends a lot on what my wife is prepared to do.

    Less boozing. Move somewhere new near to a MTB centre, maybe Chicksands. Cut-out social smoking.

    Thought of another one, same as last year: one new recipe / week. Got loads of recipe books, just need to use them instead of always relying on the old favourites.

    To do 10 muscle ups and a planche, the latter may be a pipe dream at the age of 52.

    Start running again and buy a cross bike, so nothing too exciting really, maybe even enter some road races!

    Likely to be less commuting mileage this year so looking for quality over quantity. Would like to do one 100 mile-plus road ride each month, and cover 50 miles a month on the mountain bike. Everything else will be a bonus.

    If this also leads to me finally reaching the elusive goals of 12 stone and 5000 miles in a year that would be nice. It will, however, require me to not put my back out while sledging this morning… 🙄

    I have a lot of big projects to finish this year, so ironically:
    1) do not obsess about about projects;
    2) enjoy quality time both on bike and away with missus (and not be bothered about spending significant cash doing it);
    3) don’t be quite so nice at work, i.e. be more forthright when required
    4) do not get worked-up by the behaviour of others
    5) keep things in perspective
    6) maintain and enjoy level of riding
