  • New Xbox – 4gb or 250gb?

Our Xbox has given up the ghost on Xmas day, result. Rather than pay £100 for a service I figured get a new one. I have an Xbox Pro from about 5yrs ago, no bells or whistles I dont think, we use it for a bit of gaming, as a DVD player and to stream Lovefilm and iPlayer. I can get a 4gb for £100 from Asda or £150 for 250gb…..do people get the bigger memory to store digital media? I dont THINK I need this do I?

    Thanks

250GB. 4GB is not enough to store a lot of game updates.

250gb, no question. You’ll fill up the 4gb in no time with updates & DLC

Yeah. If it’s ever going to go online, the 250 is essential.

The 250 is up for £144.99 in Sainsbury’s at the moment.

..but if you have an older one can you not just swap the HDD over from it to to a new 4Gb one?

Full sized and Slim boxes take different drives, they’re not (trivially) interchangeable.

The old one is broken and needs a service…£100
