so i’m trying to go tubeless, duck taped my rims and got new tubeless ready hans dampf.

so just inflating tyres on the rim with no gunk in, fount holds air quite well but the rear is leaking from the rim weld, seems ok everywhere else.

so if i add stans gunk will it seal it or do i need a new rim? (or put a tube in)

Yep – the rim strip isn’t sealing properly, my guess would be to check the valve area for leaks and sealing integrity.

You may need a few goes at getting it to seal, but this is normal.

That’s why it’s called sealant – it seals holes :-))

Failing the rim strip not doing its job how about some clear silicone over the rim join then rim strip then tubeless and sealant

well put a bit more tape round the rim weld, but it was still leaking. but soon stopped when i put the sealant in 😉

been holding air for an hour or so with no hissing so fingers crossed
