    Hi all,

Am about to come back from a deployment, and am based up in Scotland on my return and would like to make the most of the biking surroundings available once there! Am contemplating buying a T5 camper to allow me travelling round Scotland freely and not worrying about b+b’s etc, plus i live on the south coast so will be driving up and down the country on a farely regular basis. My income isn’t that high, I’ve never had a van before, am I making the right choice on getting a camper or are other options better?

Any help will be much appreciated

    Happy camping!

Depends on how handy you are. T5’s especially the campers have a high outlay due to their popularity.

Getting hold of a similar spec transit/traffic etc and converting yourself could be cheaper and more bike suited. My van was rough and ready but very functional.

If you’re going away for a while and you don’t use trail centers and their associated facilities, then you might want to buy something a bit bigger with a shower and toilet…
