    Hi Everyone,

Just wanted some opinions here. I’ve recently fitted some new pedals to my road bike for commuting (Shimano A530’s).

Now I’ve never used SPD’s before so have just fitted them and rode my 13 mile commute as normal today, and now I’ve got a pain in my left knee. Anyone else had this problem? Could it be that the pedals mean my legs don’t extend as much as they did with my flat pedals so a seat post adjustment maybe in order?

Just wanted to gauge opinion before I set off home later and make it worse.

    Cheers.

Check saddle height and cleat angle. Knee pain is fairly common when switching to clip-in pedals unless you are very careful with the setup.

All as above check it all. If you need more float (movement on the pedals) check out Crank Brothers or Time.
