I bought this HD140 frame but now I have it in my hands I am not sure it is the right thing for me. I couldn't find a XL test bike in the HD140 so tried the Mojo. The HD 140 however is a different beast altogether.
It is carbon and therefore light but is also very burly and stiff, designed for someone who is going to be doing jumps and big drop offs etc. This is very light for it's intended purpose, just not for what I will use it for. It can also be converted to an HD160 with new shock mounts and shock. I was looking for a lightweight bike. I should have gone SL-R.
A headset was fitted by the shop before I got the bike and so now I can't swap it and I have to sell it, which is a pain but I understand the point of the LBS. The bike hasn't been built up so it is in new condition. It is matte carbon and XL. 142x12 rear and tapered tube. There is a £180 Angleset fitted which will be removed and sold separately or can be bundled with the frame.
If you see my earlier posts you will note I had a little issue with the frame which was resolved. I am happy to talk through this and also the warranty with anyone interested. Message me on slowboydickie AT gmail
DOT com and I will send my number.
I am based in Dorking. It cost £2174 frame only and I am looking for as much as I can get but realise I will have to take a hit. Hoping for maybe £1900 for the frame and headset together, saving £454 off what I paid. Open to sensible offers. Photos below.
