Our new house has quite a large garden which attracts a lot of feathered wildlife to it which is great.

Whilst looking out of the kitchen window I spotted a patch of disturbed grass, went out to to have a look and it was a pile of poo underneath bits of plucked grass.

It looked dog size, and I’m pretty sure no domestic dogs can gain access to the garden.

Could it be a fox? Do they cover their poo?

    Ta in advance.

    What does it smell like?

go and take a good whiff – if it smells like the most rancid, throat choking, gip inducing, sweet, musky horrible thing you can imagine, then its probably fox.

It’s pretty whiffy. But do foxes cover up there poo? If it was territory marking surely it would want to leave it on display?

Nope, not bear poo. Saw plenty of that whilst living in Canada.
