    tech specs

seven XML LEDs Driven by a Taskled HBFlex
and a 4.4 amp hour 15 volt Li Ion battery

    Beam shots 😮

I used the MTBR setting of f4 and 6 seconds.

Google earth says its 169 metres to the barn

five pics from low to the full 3 amps

And as I was walking back saw this vantage point

280 metres to the barn so gave it a whirl

My impressions of it are AWESOME

What the hell time do you walk your dog??

Also can you make something waterproof that flashes to fix to the dog’s collar?

(You’ve only got questions on this thread so far 🙂 )

the dog probably thinks its a light sabre for tackling the aliens from ground..

Trout, do you think you could do something with a 6 D Cell maglight?

I think you can get cheap blinky collar things from pet shops or even Poundland.

Let’s hope the folk in that house weren’t Christians. They probably thought the Rapture was underway.

Take a gun out with you. You can lamp a few rabbits and the mutt can retrieve them for you.

Not sure he’d need a gun … the rabbit would be cooked by the time the dog got to it 😕

    They aren’t waterproof.
I’ve tried various kinds but the dog kills em when she jumps in the river. Silicone bike lights work best, but the lifespan is limited.

I walk my dogs at 5am, in the woods. In wintertime it’s really dark, and a tree-melter like that would be just the ticket. Be ideal if it ran off a cassette of 18650s.

    oooh, me wanty.

I would also be interesed in lights that are attached to the dog as above. I currently use a petzl headtorch around his neck and it works well but is a little fragile. If there was something more solid and custom made for the job I would first in the queue.

    Prices?

The little silicon lights that smudge sells are pretty good for pooches collars

Strange niche market for dog walking lights as for a price if it was for sale gawd knows
there is about 30 hours in that one and over £100 in bits

That was my first thought too.

Does it come with a helmet mount?

Can you do me one with a gun mount 😀

that one would be too heavy for a gun mount. but yes a smaller one using the same type of lenses would be doable

lol at the gun mount request…… and Trout’s plain answer! Got a feeling even I’d manage to duck when hit with 10 mega watts of torch light from a mile away!
