I’m in the market for a new CX frame and forks. Discs are a must, through axles would be nice and price is an issue.

    options to date are

Planet X frame set – QR
    Kenisis pro6 – QR
    Something by dolan???

can anyone help with other options that aren’t going to blow me out of the water. Sub £500 would be nice. I’ve tried no name Chinese and and don’t fancy that again.

What for? CX racing or a bit of off road pootling?

I’m tempted by a Bowman which is almost in budget but not available yet.

Predominantly cx racing and the three peaks, also a bit of a bike for fun in the hills.

what are you bringing to the build that limits you to frame-only? Something like the TCX SLR2 can be had for £799 right now

with 105 11spd (a ~£300 groupset), TRP Spyres (popular upgrade for people with cheap cable discs) etc. Might be more upfront cost than you want to stomach or too much hassle but you could buy this, flog all the as-new bits you don’t want, and the frame would come in at less than £500?

Ive just bought a Ritchey Swiss x disc frame for £750 from Germany.
Bit over your budget but such a thing of beauty!

Trek Crockett Disc is a great frameset at £600ish. That is if you can live with it being baby pink!
