  • New coffee press for the office

I need a recommendation for a new press as the 2 we have in the office have a poor filter and leave coffee ground in the mug. It’s been okay for 6 weeks but my stomach can’t take it any more.
    The current: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/tableware/coffee-tea-makers/upphetta-coffee-tea-maker-glass-stainless-steel-art-60241389/

If the new one is a bit more robust it would be great as well – the current seem fragile when handling/cleaning. And it has to contain 1L or more!
I’ll be taking it home for weekends/holidays.

The optimum solution is a MoccaMaster as the avid coffee drinkers we are in the office but apparently not a solution so far. -areopress is too much fuss

these are superb. Indestructible. Spare press filters easily available.
Insulated (twinwall) easy to swill out with no need to “wash”.

We have the 0.5L and 1L.

Just remember “The tragedy of the commons”.
Buy the cheapest one possible it’ll be ruined within 6 months.

    areopress is too much fuss

You’re screwed if an Aeropress is too much fuss, it’s the least fussy way of making proper coffee I’ve ever come across short of the Smart Cafe mug.

I have to compare it to a press containing about 5 mugs in one brewing. Otherwise I would own an Areopress already 😀
