My first bike build and I am really pleased with the results.

Took it out for a night ride tonight and it rides like a dream! Hard to explain how nice it feels riding the cotic, but it does, smiles all night tonight!

Mostly built from second hand parts found on here, so thanks for all those who helped me out!

    Spec:
    2008 cotic soul frame (medium)
    Thomson Post and stem
    Sunline (very wide) bars
    XTR rear mech
    XT front mech
    XTR brakes on 180/160
Middleburn crank set. (soon to gain a bash ring)
Rear wheel is Hope / stans flow (waiting for a front to match)
Suitable tyres still to come, I'm thinking 2.2 rubber queens will be a good match.
    Bling DT swiss 130 forks

Yes of course the garden is a state…. you should see inside the house …. 😉

The red chainstay protector is a bit incongruous, other than that it looks a very nice build indeed

    Tasty..!

(I've got one in black, but from back in '05 – that was also my first bike build).

    Enjoy..!

Chainstay is actually orange, and matches the grips and the little orange demon on the front, but yes I'm not sure i'm convinced by it yet

New style middleburn or old XT. Nice build looks usable.

What sort of dog have you got? Looks like it might need a summer hair cut. 🙂

Ah you spotted Fifi the wonderdog,

She is a laboradoodle, and a very good cycling dog!

Sorry Cranks are XT, Cogs are middleburn, work nicely though.

Finished work early today, and am going for a nice spin on the soul in the sun 😉
