TBH pushing my bike across wouldn’t bother me as it will be a finite space and I’d rather the greenery took precedent, but all the ticketing and ‘public attraction’ bollox does. If its paid for by public funds it should be a proper public space like the parks.

    Quite right too

Think of all the bady Robins in those trees getting run over by non helmet wearing fixie hipsters or eaten by passing fat mamils

BTW …. I think it will be lovely addition to our cityscape.

It wouldn’t take an architectural genius to build a dedicated cycle tunnel within the bridge structure, segregating the two users completely and providing a dry space to cycle in. You could perhaps even grass over the top and no one above would even know it was there. Perhaps.

At least you’ll be able to push your bike along it – more than can be said for Brighton Pier (As I found out, to my astonishment, one day)

Don’t think you can even use it as a bridge to cross the river can you?
