I'm looking to upgrade my hydraulic. brakes from shimano m575's to slx f/r should I pay the extra 40 quid and get new disks or could I use my old ones.they don't look to bad.there the shimano centre lock 160mm rotor.its 130quid without rotor or 170 with new rotor.I would like to save some cash and go without rotors if poss.any input would be greatly appreciated.

Unless your old ones are damaged, I'd keep them.

Depends, if your plannning to sell you other disc brakes, they will be easier to sell as a whole set.

good point ianpinder.i wouldnt know what the selling price for my old set would be.ive seen CRC selling a f or r at 60quid without rotors so the slx isnt that much more expensive but i thought they were better brakes!!
