I’ve got a set of Hope Tech X2’s, from 2009/2010 time which I have been battling with. I think it is time for an update, or a service. I have sent them back once for a full service in their life.
The big issue is I run gripshift. I have tried M785 XT’s before, but found the lever too short so had to twist my hands inwards o reach the lever over the shifter. So, what are my options:

Hope Tech 3 X2 – I’ve always enjoyed my Hopes, so this is appealing.
SRAM Guide RSC – more expensive, and not sure if the lever is long enough since they talk about the new, on trend shorter lever

Get my Tech X2’s serviced again and just carry on?

I’d buy some new Hopes, and to help with the cost sell your older X2s on here.
Obviously mention they need a bit of a service in your ad, but Hopes are popular, and a lot of people will buy them to self-service. You should make £70-80 for the set.

I did exactly this last year. Sold two sets of older Hope brakes, and bought a new set of Tech 3 X2s, which, btw, are excellent 😉
