A few people (me included) have been experiencing some play in Hope pro II hubs.
I’ve fitted the new bearings Hope sent me and voila!,the play has disappeared.
If anyone else has the same problem, give Hope a call and they’ll send you replacement bearings for free.

If your sponsored rider kit you get greater clarances in the bearings, so they feel like they wobble a bit, but they roll faster.

You wont notice it while riding, but building them is hard as they rock from side to side.

Methinks they got a box of bearings mixed up…

Are talking front hub?

The new bearings they sent me certainly seemed to fit a lot more snug.
From what I understand Hope had a batch of bearings that had tolerenace issues.They are aware of it,hence they sent me new bearings (SKS)without any hesitation.

Sorry, is this the front hub bearings you’re talking about or the rear ones? Thanks.

do you mean snug in the housing or snug on the axle ?

The bearing cups fit a more snuggly in the actual hub (i.e took a fair bit of tapping in. The ones I replaced weren’t loose but were not as tight as the replacement ones.
